Bike Ride for Cancer, Day 7: Revelstoke to Roger's Pass

We are camped in Kinbasket Campground and RV Park. We had a good but long day yesterday riding from Revelstoke. The temperature was in the low 20s and we got to take advantage of another tail wind.

Rogers pass is a long hill, but for the post part it's not too steep! The east side of Roger's Pass was a lot steeper and longer, so we descended using our brakes as we probably could have reached speeds greater than 70 km! Regardless, Dr. Jean and I were as giddy as little kids, whooping it up over the 5 km descent.

Our legs start to give out at 5 hours, as our speed drops our conversations become more limited and our number of breaks increase.

Today we have to cycle 135 km to get to Lake Louise, with two passes to cross. We are really starting to conserve as much energy as possible as after today we have four more days of long rides with even higher climbs. The weather and company are fantastic!
